TELLING A BIBLE STORY
PICK THE STORY OR SET OF STORIES FOR A REASON
Tell the story the audience needs to hear – know the worldview of your audience.
Use the bridges, or beliefs your audience has to connect with God’s Word.
Realize that there are barriers or obstacles that keep someone from accepting God’s Word
HOW TO PREPARE AND TELL A STORY
Don’t just read the text, tell the story in a way that oral learners can hear the story well
Be sensitive to vocabulary and bridges and barriers to the Word.
Provide context.
Don’t interrupt the story to interpret, just tell the story.
